United Pork Americas is more than an event, it is an annual thought leadership platform which will be used as an education, facilitation, and activation platform, across the pork value chain, to act as a community building asset to further define the future advancements of the global pork industry.

Farm Journal’s PORK acquired UPA in 2021 from Flavia Roppa of Brazil. For the past two decades, more than 150,000 international swine producers, veterinarians and industry stakeholders have experienced the event Roppa established — Pork Expo Brazil. An extension of Pork Expo Brazil, the United Pork Americas conference, is set for September 7-9, 2022, at the Hyatt Regency in Orlando, Fla.

UPA takes the stage at one of the most crucial times in our pork industries’ evolution. Never has a more intense understanding, and translation, of the world’s pork systems infrastructure been more critical. The Americas are positioned for incredible growth, technology adoption, export dominance and quality, health, and safety advancements.

These times call for a different and unprecedented venue for global thought leadership. Gaining scholarship from globally recognized subject matter experts to help navigate the most critical issues defining the future advancements of the global pork industry is vital.

The mission of UPA is to produce a global event to identify and present the challenges and opportunities within pork production and protein availability to produce the highest quality, efficacious and abundant food source for the world. It will create an environment to connect, network and celebrate the people, products and success of pork production across the globe. UPA will unite global pork stakeholders to better understand the opportunities and concerns of pork production from every corner of the world.

UPA will feature an educational component with more than 50 internationally renowned speakers and sessions to provide educational opportunities for swine producers, veterinarians, and industry stakeholders. It also will feature a swine specific exhibition hall where domestic and international swine companies will have booths in an expansive trade show format to bring applicable information, technologies, and resources for every facet of the pork production system. And don’t miss celebrating the products of our labor at the International Pork Festival, featuring pork recipes from across the globe!
