Meet the Hosts

Woody Folsom
Woody Folsom and his wife Tamela began Circle F Farms in 2001, with Woody’s vision being to own and raise the best Brahman available. Over time, with hard work, dedication, and great bloodlines purchased from Ranches such as V8 and Hudgins, this is exactly what he has been able to accomplish and continues to work towards daily. Woody, Tamela, and their children, Tanner and Anna Kate live in Baxley where they not only run 600 head of Brahman and F1 cattle but have now expanded their operations to include 8 broiler and 6 breeder houses, a sow herd, percheron horses, pulling mules and a herd of longhorn cattle.

Neal Boatright
The Boatright family is a proud 4th-generation farming operation. Today, the farm is led by Neal Boatright, together with his son Bryan and grandson Mason, who represent the 5th and 6th generations carrying the legacy forward.
Their diversified operation covers nearly 6,000 acres in South Georgia, where they produce cotton, peanuts, and blueberries at scale. The Boatrights embody the resilience, innovation, and stewardship that define American agriculture. They have not only preserved their family tradition but have also adapted to modern challenges by embracing conservation practices and sustainable growth. Neal has always been enthusiastic about adopting new technologies and was among the early adopters of GPS, precision seeding, and advanced spray technology from John Deere, helping the operation remain efficient and forward-looking.

Chris White
Protecting sensitive root systems is Chris’s top priority right now on his 144-acre blueberry farm. He is a conservation early adopter and has practices in place for nutrient and water management. Working alongside team members from Farm Journal’s Connected Ag Project, Chris is using the grant to get financial and technical assistance in boosting those existing practices and implementing new soil health measures.
