Osler Desouzart was a World Forum of Agriculture advisory board member and has his own consultancy, OD Consulting, Market Planning & Strategy, with clients in different countries in the Americas, Europe, Africa and Asia.
Desouzart has spent most of his professional career in international meat industry marketing, having worked for the largest industries of swine production in Brazil (Sadia & Perdigão) leading its departments of foreign trade. He participated in the growth of Brazilian meat exports and held positions in several professional associations, such as ABEF (Brazilian Association of Poultry Exporters) and ABIPECS (Brazilian Association of the Pork Industry). He has lectured around the world and participated in numerous professional congresses to share his knowledge on trade, international competition and competition in the agri-food sector. He also lived and worked in Spain, France and Switzerland for international commercial papers.
Desouzart received his law degree from the State University of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil; a marketing degree from the School of Top Management and Administration, Madrid, Spain; MBA from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil; and MBA in Total Quality Management from Fundação Dom Cabral, Belo Horizonte, MG. He was published by the FAO and was awarded by the ABPA for his contribution to the international meat trade.
