Kent Bang grew up in eastern Nebraska and graduated from the University of Nebraska with a B.S. in animal science and a focus on ag business. He spent 17 years in the swine genetics and nutrition business and as a swine industry consultant with Purina Mills and Archer Daniels Midland, working across the U.S. and with international customers in Europe and Southeast Asia.
For the past 25 years, Kent has financed large commercial swine operations and pork processors. During those years, he has served as swine industry specialist, VP – commercial swine lender, senior swine credit analyst, regional vice president, and he currently serves as director, swine lending for Compeer Financial.
Kent served two terms on the National Pork Producers Council (NPPC) - Board of Directors. He currently serves on the NPPC Political Action Committee. Kent also served two terms on the Executive Committee of the United States Meat Export Federation (USMEF).
Kent and his wife Julie live in Omaha, Neb., and have two adult sons and one grandson.
