Scott Hays serves as the Executive Director of the Missouri Pork Association, bringing decades of hands on agricultural experience and leadership to the role. Before entering the pork industry full time, Scott served in the U.S. Army in Europe, returning home in 1989 to join his family’s diversified farming operation.
For 35 years, Scott managed and expanded the farm’s swine enterprise, before transitioning it to the next generation in 2024. His career reflects a deep commitment to agriculture, family, and the future of rural communities.
Scott and his wife of 38 years have a close knit family, with six children and thirteen grandchildren. They currently reside in Centralia, Missouri, though Monroe City will always be home.
