His work focuses on agricultural water conservation and replenishment, water quality, GHG emissions, and the implementation of conservation practices at scale, with an emphasis on building partnerships that translate measurable sustainability outcomes into economic and operational value for growers. Previously, Austin held roles at Bayer Crop Science and the Illinois Farm Bureau advancing ecosystem service markets, farmer profitability, and natural resource policy in collaboration with public and private stakeholders.
