Lamar Steiger resides in Bentonville, Arkansas, and served as Walmart’s beef supply chain consultant for a decade, leading a dramatic and innovative change to Walmart’s beef supply by creating a ranch-to-retail supply chain that ensures consistency and quality at an everyday low price. Lamar currently consults with significant retailers, global Ag Tech firms, and ranchers nationwide, specializing in ranch-to-retail beef supplies and profitable ranch management and is the founding partner and president of Ranch2Retail. Ranch2Retail’s vision is to continue Lamar’s work in reimagining the beef supply chain by adding value on both ends of the seedstock-to-consumer beef supply chain. Lamar serves as a board member of Norway’s Völur, an artificial intelligence-driven packing plant optimization. Lamar and his wife Shari own The 808 Ranch, a technologically innovative, retail-focused purebred black Angus breeding ranch in SW Missouri & NW Arkansas. The Steigers have three children and three grandchildren and enjoy all the family time they can organize.
