Speaker Bio
Emily Oberbroeckling, ARA, is a Certified General Real Property Appraiser and
Accredited Rural Appraiser. As part of Peoples Company’s national appraisal
team, she provides professional appraisal and consulting services across the
Midwest for farmland, livestock operations, agribusinesses, and rural estates. With
over 15 years of experience in rural community bank lending and appraisal,
Emily brings together analytical expertise, field-level experience, and genuine
respect for the agricultural community.
Raised on a small family dairy farm in the rolling hills of Northeast Iowa, she
treasured the “Driftless” Region and graduated from UW-Platteville, Wisconsin,
with an Ag Business degree. Emily’s career bridges traditional values with modern
appraisal technology — including FAA-licensed drone imagery, GIS mapping,
and advanced data analytics. She works with farm families, attorneys, investors,
and institutions to appraise the true value of agricultural assets and support
landownership transitions.
Emily has served on the Iowa Chapter Executive Board of the American Society
of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers (ASFMRA), the Peoples Company
Executive Board, and the local Clayton County, Iowa Farm Bureau Board. She
holds Certified General Appraisal licenses in Iowa, Wisconsin, Illinois, Kansas, and
Mississippi.
Emily is a landowner and active participant in her family’s farming and trucking
businesses near Garnavillo, Iowa, where she lives with her husband and two sons.
Emily embodies the connection between land, legacy, and leadership that
drives her work—bridging traditional agricultural values with modern valuation
methods and data-driven insights.
