Brent Smith is a 30-year Ag industry veteran with a track record for developing breakthrough products and technologies within leading companies and start-ups. With passions for sustainability, innovation and ag biotech, Brent has focused several years building and leading businesses and teams focused on proprietary technologies. Since joining NewLeaf Symbiotics in 2023 as CEO + President, the St. Louis Ag biotech start-up has increased applied acreage, introduced three additional technologies to the farmgate — including a first-of-its-kind, EPA-registered bioinsecticide, and developed a pipeline positioned for sustainable profitability, allowing NewLeaf to create the greatest positive impact it can in global agriculture. In his free time, Brent enjoys spending time with his family outdoors golfing, hiking and skiing.
