The ag economy is suffering and growers need to know how to manage their lending relationships, what information to provide and how the bank analyzes your statements. Recently I ran into a client that was being evaluated in a way that didn’t account for some of his equipment trades v. depreciation and it was negatively impacting him. He was sharp enough to know something wasn’t right, but couldn’t get to the source of it. It made him wonder about other farmers that don’t question things.
