Matt Borden is a fourth-generation avocado grower who was born and raised in Pauma Valley, California. Growing up on the family ranch, Matt developed a deep appreciation for agriculture and the avocado industry from an early age. Since 2008, he has managed the day-to-day operations of Borden Ranches, a family-owned farming business.

Borden Ranches is dedicated exclusively to avocado production, with a primary focus on Hass avocados, complemented by Gem and Reed varieties. What distinguishes the operation is its commitment to attention to detail. By maintaining a manageable scale, Matt and his team are able to provide individualized care to every block of trees.

With decades of family knowledge combined with a hands-on approach to farm management, Matt is passionate about growing \avocados and preserving the legacy of avocado farming for future generations.

Matt and his wife are raising two sons who are already becoming involved in the family business by helping their dad in the groves or assisting their mom with her goat milk lotion and soap business.
