Jose Antonio Castro is CEO of Agrokasa, a leading Peruvian producer and exporter of table grapes, asparagus, avocados, and blueberries. He has more than 31 years of produce-industry experience, including over 23 years in avocados.

He holds degrees in agribusiness and agronomy from Escuela Agrícola de Paine and Universidad Mayor de Santiago de Chile, as well as an MBA from Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez.

Castro has held leadership roles across Peru’s produce industry, including service with ProHass, Provid, ProArándanos, IPEH, AGAP, and the Peruvian Avocado Commission. He joined the Hass Avocado Board in 2016 and has served as chairman of ProHass since 2024.

Outside of work, he enjoys running, soccer, tennis, swimming, and travel—and avocados in any form, every day.
