Ricardo Uribe, a business administrator from EAFIT University, is a pioneer of the Hass avocado industry in Colombia. As President and CEO of Cartama, a company he has led since its founding in 2000, he has transformed it into a model of success and a key benchmark in production and export at the global level.

With more than 25 years of experience in the agricultural sector, Uribe has been the strategic force behind the international positioning of this fruit, opening new markets and aligning operations with the highest standards of global trade. Thanks to his business vision and people-centered leadership, he has not only consolidated Cartama’s growth, but has also laid the foundation for the development and competitiveness of the entire Colombian agro-industrial sector.
Additionally, he has served on the Board of Directors of Corpohass for more than 8 years, currently serving as the Board president, and is an active member of the executive committee of the Colombia Avocado Board.
