Jacob Larson is a third-generation dairy farmer in Okeechobee, Fla. He is a co-owner with his brother, Travis, and father, Woody. The two dairies that make up Larson Dairy Inc. milk 5,000 cows. The family farms are committed to producing high-quality fluid milk for Floridians. Jacob is in his third year as the president of Southeast Milk Inc. SMI is a small milk marketing cooperative that provides high-quality conventionally and organically produced milk for its customers throughout the Southeast. Jacob and his wife, Danielle, have three children, Luke, Lilly and Levi, who are all teenagers and keep him very active. The couple have diversified their agriculture interests into a cow-calf ranch, row crops and a purebred Brahman herd. Outside of the leadership in Southeast Milk, Jacob is also the president of United Dairy Farmers of Florida and an active board member on his county Farm Bureau board. He attends church at First Baptist of Okeechobee and enjoys hunting and fishing.
