Daniel Bell started out in the Produce Industry at Vons in Vista, CA as a closing clerk in Produce in 1990 for what he thought would be a short term job. Thirty-two years later, he’s still there. Daniel worked his way up eventually to Produce Manager and after a few years was promoted to Field Merchandiser in North Dallas with Safeway’s Randall’s Tom Thumb Division. In 2010 it was time to come back to California and began his career with Grocery Outlet as a Produce Merchandiser. Over the last 13 years he’s held the positions of Floral Buyer, Produce and Floral Buyer, Senior Produce Buyer and now is currently Director of Produce.
