Within the Eurofins organization, Rafael role encompasses the oversight of four leafy-green testing and research focused microbiology laboratories along the central coast of California and into Yuma, Arizona. He is focused on the comprehensive management of these operations, while having a vision for the overall Eurofins produce strategy within the region, across the United States, and Mexico. Rafael has posted an extensive career throughout the produce industry, beginning with hands-on farm work of pulling weeds and lettuce harvest and later progressing into roles as Director of Food Safety at Western Harvesting and then Western Regional Food Safety Manager at Ready Pac Foods/Bonduelle Fresh Americas. Prior to joining Eurofins, Rafael founded and operated Priority Sampling, LLC, specializing in innovative solutions for product and environmental sampling services for the leafy greens industry.
