Randy Dowdy is a first-generation row crop farmer from Brooks County, Georgia, specializing in corn, soybeans, wheat, and peanuts. Known for his data-driven, systems-based approach to farming, Randy focuses on minimizing plant stress throughout the growing season to consistently achieve maximum yield potential.
He has earned national recognition for his achievements in both corn and soybean production. In 2014, Randy set a new world record for corn yield, becoming the first grower to surpass the 500 bushel-per-acre mark. That same year, he also produced soybeans exceeding 100 bushels per acre. He later set the world record for soybeans with a verified yield of 171 bushels per acre and submitted two National Corn Growers Association entries in 2016 that both topped 500 bushels.
